Popcorn Sales
Popcorn Information for 2020 will be published in August 2020. The dates, below, will be updated then.
Hello Parents,
Popcorn season will start in September 2020. Please see below for information on how to sign your scout up on line and when/where to pick up popcorn and tun in money etc.

* You need to sign-up under PARENT.
* We are the Denver Area Council, Frontier Dist., Pack 1
* App: Download the Trails-end app
* Use your same log-in as for the website.
* Scouts must be in uniform when selling popcorn.
* Scouts may take cash, checks- made out to: BSA Pack 1. (As of now, there is not a credit card options. If you have a Square linked to your personal account- you may use that and write a check to the Pack- but you will be responsible for fees)
* Help your scout to form a script he can remember when selling.
* Discuss setting a sales goal and what he wants to achieve with his sales.
* Make sure to smile and introduces himself.
* Have him open with something like "Would you like to support my scouting adventures, I am trying to earn my way to: i.e. summer camp, or overnight camp" or whatever he has decided on.
* Hand the menu to the neighbor so he can see what’s available. (it’s a lot to remember)
* If you have popcorn on hand, make a list and keep it updated.
* Make sure your scout knows he will get some “No Thank You’s”. Not everyone will buy him.
* Please respect “No Soliciting” signs.
* Make sure to have plenty of change.
* *When taking orders- you MUST get payment up front. I will not order popcorn unless I have the money.

* Always say Thank you! Get an email address to send a note or pictures of your camping adventures as a thank you- will also encourage them to buy again next year :)
*Picking up popcorn and turning in money: Date TBD.
* You can pick up popcorn starting on: TBD

* You will be required to sign out your popcorn and will be responsible for the retail value to be returned in either monies or leftover product.
* All unsold popcorn must be returned to TBD house on TBD
* If Scout’s take orders- the order forms must be turned into Leah by TBD. Please leave order forms ONLY—NO MONEY—in her mailbox if not home. Leah will not be held accountable for missing money.
* All money from popcorn sales—including ordered popcorn—must be turned into TBD at TBD on TBD.
* When the Scouts return their money and order forms to Scott, they need to make sure they note which prizes they want on their return envelops.
* NOTE: Scouts can only turn in their money TBD. TBD will not be taking in money before that.
* Lastly, Scouts can contact TBD if they wish or need to pick up more popcorn.
*Trails-End offers a Scholarship to all scouts who sell $2,500.00. You will be enrolled into their scholarship program where you will earn 6% of your sales while enrolled in scouting. (Note: you only need sell $2,500.00 one time to be enrolled for as long as the boys are in scouting)
